What is Intelligent Content ?
Yesterday's content was static, hard to find, and difficult to manipulate. Today we're not restricted by the technology, format, or use. Today we create, manage and deliver content in a more intelligent manner. In fact, the content itself must be almost 'intelligent'.
Intelligent Content is content which is:
- discoverable
- automatically reconfigurable
- semantically aware
- adaptable
- collaborative
- rich
There are several trends that are converging today with content on the internet
- increased structure (XML)
- increased syndication
- atomization
- meta-data associations (e.g. tagging)
- socialization
All of these combined provide an increasing amount of context for any piece of content.When you have enough context for a piece of information , essentially that content is now 'intelligent'.In general, the more context you have , the more intelligence you have.
